 Southeast Black Forest The Southeastern Black Forest real estate area extends from Black Forest Road to Eastonville Road in El Paso County, Colorado. The City of Colorado Springs real estate area is to the south of this community. The Black Forest has treed properties and properties in meadows with beautiful mountain views. Most of the homes have lots ranging from 2.5 acres to 17 acres. Homes for sale in the Black Forest real estate area range from homes built in the mid 1950s to brand new home developments. The Black Forest community includes some homes in the rural Falcon and Peyton real estate areas. There are many communities in the Black Forest. Some of the southeastern communities include: Park Forest Estates, Wildwood Village, Woodlake, Ponderosa Pines, C and H Estates, and the Forest Meadows neighborhoods. Park Forest Estates was established in 1959-1960, Wildwood Village in 1973-1980, Woodlake in 1974-1980, Ponderosa Pines in 1975-1985, C and H Estates in 2006, and Forest Meadows in 2006-2007.
Homes for sale in the expanding southeastern portion of the Black Forest community range from mostly ranch style homes to 2 story homes. The homes closer to the City of Colorado Springs resemble "city living" style homes on smaller lots. Traveling north and east the homes become more rural and have more acreage. Homes in the Park Forest real estate area have approximately 1,600-6,000 finished square feet. This neighborhood does have some spectacular homes built in the early 2000s as well. Schools of attendance include the Air Academy School District No. 20, Peyton School District, and Falcon School District boundary areas. Neighboring Communities To the west is the southwestern region of the Black Forest, including the Black Forest Regional Park. To the south is the City of Colorado Springs. Traveling east will bring you to the Falcon real estate area. North is the northeastern portion of the Black Forest community. Commuting Due to the eastern location of this real estate area and quick access to Woodmen Road, driving to Peterson and Schriever is easy. The commute from this Peterson AFB real estate area and Schriever AFB real estate area varies from approximately 20-30 minutes. This is a good choice for your Colorado Springs military relocation plans. Recreation Close to Colorado Springs and the Powers Corridor, this location offers many recreational opportunities. Restaurants, entertainment, golfing, and lots of shopping are just 10-20 minutes away. In the southwestern portion of the Black Forest are some stores and a few eating places. |
