Southwest Black Forest

Located to the east of Highway 83 and north of Woodmen Road in El Paso County, Colorado is the Southwestern Black Forest real estate area. The Black Forest has many diverse neighborhoods. One of the neighborhoods in the southwestern region of the Black Forest is the unique Timber Lake Estates, established in 1964-1967, with homes built into the early 2000s. The striking High Forest Ranch neighborhood was established in 2001-2004. High Forest Ranch also extends north into the northwestern portion of the Black Forest. The luxurious Cathedral Pines neighborhood is a newer neighborhood established in 2005-2006. The extensive Black Forest Regional Park/Nature Preserve is located in this southwestern Black Forest real estate area.

Neighboring Communities
The neighboring communities include: Kettle Creek to the south of the neighborhood, the Walden neighborhood to the west, and the southeast Black Forest real estate are to the east. North is the continuation of the High Forest Ranch community.

Commuting
The Black Forest is a vast area. The community has easy access to Highway 83 and Interstate 25. The Air Force Academy is located off of Interstate 25 and is an approximate 10-20 minute drive. With several homes near the Air Force Academy and homes near Peterson AFB, The Black Forest is worth considering for your Colorado Springs military relocation plans. Interstate 25 north will take you to Monument, Castle Rock, and Denver and to the south to Pueblo.

Recreation
The Black Forest community has hiking and biking trails throughout the area, including in the Black Forest Regional Park located in the neighborhood. Located on the north end of Colorado Springs, it is a short trip to shopping, entertainment, fitness, and multiple restaurants.
