 Cordera The Cordera subdivision is located in Northern El Paso County in the Colorado Springs Real Estate Area. Situated to the northeast of the Briargate real estate area, the subdivision has luxurious homes offered by Saddletree Homes, Vantage Homes, Keller Homes, Symphony Homes, and Campbell Homes. The Cordera real estate area offers amenities such as granite countertops, hardwood floors, walk-out lots, and 5 piece master baths. The subdivision was voted "Best new planned community" in The Gazette's 2008 Best of The Springs publication. The Cordera subdivision opened in 2005. There are many styles of new homes for sale. There are storybook parks and hiking/biking trails located throughout the Cordera subdivision. The Cordera subdivision is a family community. Neighboring Communities Situated to the west of the Cordera subdivision is the Pine Creek real estate area and the Sagewood subdivision. To the south is the Wolf Ranch real estate area. Commuting The commute to the United States Air Force Academy is approximately 12 miles or 19 minutes. And if you can afford the neighborhood, it's a wonderful choice for a Colorado Springs military relocation and Air Force Academy real estate. There is also easy access to Powers Boulevard, a main corridor which runs north and south through Colorado Springs. Quick access also makes Cordera an option for Peterson AFB real estate, with the commute to Peterson AFB being 20 minutes, or 16.60 miles. Theme parks cover 15 acres of land in the Cordera neighborhood, and community . Walking and hiking trails compose approximately 4.5 miles of the landscape. Pedestrian underpasses have been constructed at major intersections in the neighborhood. There are theme parks in the Cordera real estate area. The Ye Olde Castlewood Park and Happy Meadows Parks in the community feature the art work of local artist, Chris Weed. "Alice in Wonderland" is the theme for the The Ye Olde Castlewood Park. You will feel big or small in the park in certain areas. "Charlotte's Web" is the theme of the The Happy Meadows Park. The park has sculptures of Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider. The storybook parks in Cordera won the Best Design in 2006 from the Partnership for Community Design in Colorado Springs. The Grand Lawn Park in Cordera is located next to the Community Center and across from Chinook Trail Elementary School. It is themed after the book, "The Secret Garden." It is a 5+ acre park. The park is the site of Jazz concerts. There were over 550 people that attended the "Jazz in the Park" event in the park on August 13, 2008. Cordera hosted this 2nd annual jazz concert in cooperation with the Imagination Celebration and the Pikes Peak Jazz & Swing Society. The park has a secret garden, a spring garden, a demonstration garden, and plenty of room to play. The Pine Creek Golf Course is located in the Pine Creek subdivision, which is a part of the La Plata Communities along with the Cordera real estate area. The Pine Creek real estate area is next to Cordera on the west side of Powers Boulevard. |
