On the bluffs overlooking the City of Colorado Springs with spectacular views of the Front Range is the Cumbre Vista subdivision. The Cumbre Vista neighborhood is a new home community located on the northeast outskirts of the Colorado Springs real estate area. The homes are spacious and affordable and are built around a neighborhood park. Situated in the Briargate real estate area, this subdivision offers homes for sale by Keller Homes and Classic Homes. The homes are cozy with various amenities. Some of the homes have upper level laundry areas, media niches, great rooms, and five piece baths. Within the Cumbre Vista subdivision is the Haven at Cumbre Vista neighborhood. This low maintenance Mediterranean style neighborhood is made up of large ranch style homes. The exteriors of these homes are mission and cottage style stucco.

Development plans include building a primary school in the subdivision in the future. Neighboring Communities Located to the north of Cumbre Vista is the Wolf Ranch real estate area. The Wolf Ranch subdivision opened its doors in 2004 and is located in the grasslands with views of the Front Range. To the east, in the Black Forest real estate area, houses have extensive acreage. The Black forest area is comprised of some 200,000 acres. The Forest is heavily wooded with some grassland places. The Black Forest is a rural area with generally 5 acre lots or larger. Praire Hills Elementary School is located in the subdivision. Located to the south of the Cumbre Vista subdivision is the new Penrose-St. Francis Hospital and the Powers Corridor. Entertainment on the Corridor ranges from a large movie theater to a professional baseball game at the Sky Sox Stadium. Restaurants are plentiful and shopping is endless on the Corridor. Commuting Situated between two main thoroughfares, Woodmen Road and Powers Boulevard, the Cumbre Vista subdivision has easy access to the Powers Corridor or shopping on Woodmen Road. Located next to the Powers Corridor it offers easy access to Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB, making it worthy of consideration for a Colorado Springs PCS. Peterson AFB is 18 minutes or 11 miles from the Cumbre Vista subdivision and is a good choice for homes near Peterson AFB as well as homes near Schriever AFB. The estimated driving time to Schriever Air Force Base is approximately 17 minutes or 11.85 miles. Recreation To the southwest of the Cumbre Vista subdivision is VillaSports. VillaSports is an athletic health club and spa open to the public. It is located off of Powers Boulevard. The facility includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The outdoor pool has five separate areas to accommodate every family member. Group exercises are offered as well as personal fitness training. The Briargate YMCA is located to the west approximately 20 minutes from Cumbre Vista. The facility was built in 1998 and offers family fun for all ages. The facility has two indoor swimming pools, water exercise program, strength and conditioning center, two racquetball courts and two gymnasiums with basketball and volleyball courts. The Briargate YMCA is situated next to John L. Stone Park. The skateboard park has a 7300 sq. ft. street course. It is open to all users (boards, bikes, blades). The Powers Corridor offers different types of shopping and a variety of dining experiences. |
