 Gatehouse The Gatehouse subdivision is located to the west of Powers Boulevard and north of Research Parkway in El Paso County. Homes were built in this Colorado Springs real estate area in 1986-2002. There are over 12 neighborhoods in the Briargate real estate area. The Gatehouse subdivision is located in close proximity to several schools. Explorer Elementary School, Timberview Middle School, and Liberty High School are located in this subdivision. This subdivision offers convenience to all types of shopping including grocery, wholesale, and retail. All of these shopping opportunities are within close proximity to the subdivision. Explorer Park and the John Stone Park are located in the Gatehouse real estate area. The Briargate trail lies in the east part of the subdivision for your walking/hiking expeditions. The trail is concrete and runs 2.75 miles through the Briargate area. The Briargate YMCA is also located in the Gatehouse community.

There are two well-known neighborhoods in the Gatehouse community: The GatehouseVillage and Sagewood neighborhoods. The Sagewood community is the newer neighborhood built in 1998-2001. To the east of the Gatehouse subdivision are the Cordera real estate and Wolf Ranch real estate subdivisions. The Cordera subdivision is an elegant neighborhood with storybook parks. Rampart High School is located in the subdivision, as well as several city parks. Located to the north of Gatehouse are Pine Creek homes for sale. The Pine Creek subdivision has a golf course in the subdivision. Commuting The Gatehouse community is located to the west of Powers Boulevard. The community has convenient access to Powers Boulevard. Considered a part of Peterson AFB real estate, Gatehouse is approximately 13.13 miles, or 22 minutes to Peterson's main gate and an option for a Colorado Springs PCS. The Gatehouse subdivision is located close to Woodmen Road which also provides easy access to Schriever AFB. The commute from this part of Schriever AFB real estate is approximately 11.85 miles or a 20 minute drive. Approximately 15 miles or driving 20 minutes will get you to the United States Air Force Academy, providing options for homes near the Air Force Academy. Recreation There are two city parks situated in the Gatehouse subdivision. Explorer Park is located to the east of Explorer Elementary School. It offers a basketball court, in-line hockey court, picnic tables, picnic shelter, playground, soccer field and a trail/sidewalk path. The park sits on 7.3 acres of land and is wheelchair accessible. The John Stone Park is located west of the Briargate YMCA. It has a basketball court, skateboard park, playground and soccer field. The park covers 6.7 acres of land. The Briargate YMCA is located next to John Stone Park. The skateboard park has a 7300 sq. ft. street course. The skateboard park is open to bikes, blades, and boards, as well. The Chapel Hills Mall is approximately 15 minutes from the Gatehouse subdivision. There is additional close shopping at the Promenade Shops at Briargate. Shopping, restaurants and various dining experiences are available on the Powers Corridor, to the southeast of the subdivision as well as additional recreational opportunities. The Sky Sox Stadium in located on the Powers Corridor. |
