The Stratton Meadows real estate area is situated to the east of the Skyway real estate area. The prominent and prestigious Broadmoor real estate area is to the south of Skyway. The Broadmoor hotel and resort is world-renown and has three golf courses.

Commuting
Ivywild is in close proximity to Fort Carson. Bordering Highway 115 (aka Nevada Avenue) it is an approximate 12 minute drive or 6.49 miles to the main gate from this part of the Fort Carson real estate area. The Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base is an approximate 15 minute drive. Downtown is a short jaunt from the Skyway real estate area. This location is an excellent choice for your Colorado Springs military relocation plans. Other main roads that border the Subdivision are Lake Avenue (aka Circle Drive) and Highway 24.

Recreation
Close to the Broadmoor Towne Center, a 24 Hour Fitness Club is minutes away. The shopping center also has other stores and dining places. Shopping includes Sears, Home Depot, PetSmart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Michaels to name a few. Restaurants in the Center include Noodles & Company, On the Border, and the IHOP Red Robin. Formerly know as the Southgate Shopping Center, the Broadmoor Towne Center was originally built in the 1950s and was Colorado Spring's first shopping center. More restaurants are located on or near Nevada Avenue and on Lake Avenue.

Between Cheyenne Mountain and the Broadmoor there are plenty of outdoor activities near the Skyway Subdivision. Cheyenne Mountain State Park and Cheyenne Mountain Canyon have numerous hiking trails for your recreational endeavors. The Country Club of Colorado is located south on Highway and offers beautiful outdoor and indoor accommodations including: golfing, swimming, and fishing.

The Ivywild Park is located in the Ivywild Subdivision. The Park is 1.5 acres in area and has a playground and picnic area and a trail or sidewalk path. The Park is handicapped accessible.

Also bordering the Ivywild real estate area is Highway 24. Highway 24 takes you close to the historical Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. It is a skiing route to places like Monarch and Breckenridge ski areas. It is also a driving route to the historical Cripple Creek.
