Fox Run, Canterbury, Cherry Creek Crossing

Situated in the northern portion of El Paso County are the Fox Run, Canterbury, and Cherry Creek Crossing Subdivisions. These subdivisions are located on the outer edge of the Colorado Springs real estate area. Part of the Monument real estate area, these homes offer country living with city amenities close by. Most of the homes have large lots, ranging from 1/2 acre to over 5 acres. Some of the homes for sale are horse properties.

Outdoor recreational activities are abundant and include The Fox Run Regional Park located in the Fox Run Subdivision. The park offers walking, hiking, and biking trails along with a multi-purpose field and sand volleyball. A horseshoe area is also situated in the park. The Santa Fe Trail is to the west. The Santa Fe Trail is a 15 mile long trail that is part of the City of Colorado Springs extensive trail system. There are three lakes in the Tri-Lakes real estate area: Lake Woodmoor, Monument Lake, and Palmer Lake.

Home Prices & Descriptions
Fox Run and Canterbury real estate areas are more established subdivisions. Cherry Creek Crossing is a newer subdivision. Fox Run and Canterbury real estate areas have horse properties with mostly ranch style homes for sale. The Cherry Creek Crossing Subdivision offers homes with 2.5 acre lots.

Fox Run
Homes for sale in the Fox Run real estate area vary significantly. In the Andrene and Four Bar Kay Farm neighborhoods there are farm-like homes and horse properties with barns. Some of the homes have five plus acres of land. The Andrene neighborhood was established in 1985, however there are some homes already in the neighborhood that were built in the early 1970s. The Four Bar Kay Farm neighborhood was established in 1977. The Ridge at Fox Run was established in 1996-2003. Some of the homes for sale in The Ridge at Fox Run offer Wainscoting entry ways, mud rooms, walk-out basements, great rooms, vaulted ceilings, and are located on 1/2 acre lots.

The neighborhood was established in 1963. Some of the homes in this area were built in the late 1990s and offer unique architecture not seen in planned communities.

Cherry Creek Crossing
The Cherry Creek Crossing real estate area was established in 1999-2006. New custom homes are still being built in the neighborhood. Most of the homes for sale are on 2.5 acre lots and offer a wide range of amenities. Some of the amenities include: a wet bar, hardwood floors, gourmet kitchens, slab granite counters, stainless steel appliances, crown molding, large decks, custom tile and cabinets, and oversized garages.

Schools
The Lewis-Palmer School District No. 38 boundaries include the Fox Run, Canterbury, and Cherry Creek Crossing neighborhoods. The schools of attendance are: Kilmer Elementary School, Creekside Middle School, and Lewis Palmer High School.

Neighboring Communities
The Jackson Creek real estate subdivision lies to the west of the Fox Run, Canterbury, and Cherry Creek Crossing real estate areas. The Bent Tree, Arrowwood, Timberview, and Kings Deer communities are located to the north. The Kings Deer Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course is located close by in the Kings Deer real estate subdivision.

Commuting
The USAF Academy is approximately 20 minutes from these neighborhoods making it a part of the Air Force Academy real estate area and a possible location for your Colorado Springs PCS. It is an approximate 10 minute drive to Interstate 25, so commuting to Denver and Colorado Springs is not difficult. The Monument Park and Ride, approximately 10 minutes away is a stopping point for The Front Range Express (FREX) bus.

Recreation
The Kings Deer Golf Course, located to the north, is 7400 feet above sea level. It is an 18-hold golf course with 200 acres of land and views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range throughout the course. Tee yardages range from 5054 yards to 7000 yards for golfers of all abilities.

In the neighboring subdivision to the west, Jackson Creek, is the Jackson Creek YMCA. The Woodmoor Pines Country Club and Golf Course are located to the northwest in the Woodmoor real estate area. The Monument Marketplace is close and offers shopping, banking, and dining opportunities.
