The golfing community of Kings Deer lies on the northern edge of El Paso County, Colorado. The Colorado Springs real estate area is south of Kings Deer, and the City of Denver is to the north. The Kings Deer Subdivision has spectacular views of the Front Range, as it sits on the Palmer Divide at approximately 7400 feet. The Kings Deer real estate area is a stylish and elegant community, in the Tri-Lakes area, established in 1994-2000. The Kings Deer Highlands neighborhood in the Kings Deer Subdivision was established in 1997-2001.

Neighboring Communities
Located to the north of Kings Deer is the Greenland Ranch area. The ranch encompasses 21,000 acres of land to the east of Interstate 25 and is a designated open space nature preserve.

The Fox Run, Canterbury, Cherry Creek Crossing neighborhoods lie to the south of Kings Deer. These three neighborhoods offer easy access to Interstate 25. The Fox Run Regional Park is located in the Fox Run neighborhood.

The neighborhoods of Bent Tree, Arrowwood, and Timberview are situated to the west with the Black Forest real estate area bordering Kings Deer to the east. The Black Forest is a well-established area that offers horse properties for sale with acreage.

Commuting
Situated between Interstate 25 and Highway 83, commuting to East Denver and Central Denver is possible. Accessing Interstate 25 gets you to Denver in approximately 35 minutes. Colorado Springs is an approximate 25 minute drive. The commute to the north entrance of the United States Air Force Academy is approximately 20 minutes, making Kings Deer an option for a Colorado Springs military relocation. The Front Range Express (FREX) bus stops at the Monument Park and Ride near the Monument exit.

Recreation
The Town of Monument is approximately 8 miles to the west and offers shopping, dining, and outdoor recreational activities. Monument is the site of the Santa Fe Trail, a fifteen mile long trail that runs from the Monument/Palmer Lake real estate areas to Colorado Springs. Monument Lake, Palmer Lake, and Lake Woodmoor are all located to the west of the Kings Deer Subdivision.

The Monument Marketplace is located to the south of Kings Deer in the Jackson Creek real estate area and is a convenient location for your shopping, dining, and banking needs. Stores such as: Home Depot, Kohl's Wal-Mart, and PetsMart are located in or near the Marketplace. An urgent care facility, Premiere Urgent Care, is also in the Monument Marketplace in Jackson Creek.

The Jackson Creek YMCA is located to the south of Kings Deer. It is a new YMCA, built in 2008, and offers fitness classes, swim classes, a gym and running trail.

The Kings Deer Golf Course is open year around. Amenities at the Kings Deer Golf Club include a restaurant, golf shop, putting and chipping area, and a large practice range.
