 Woodmoor Nestled in the pines on the north side of the Colorado Springs real estate area is the Woodmoor community. Part of the Monument real estate area, Woodmoor was established in 1963. Many of the homes for sale are in a park-like setting with lots of privacy. The Woodmoor real estate area encompasses approximately 2,000 acres of land and has approximately 8,000 residents. The community is defined by north and south Woodmoor. Woodmoor has a Community Center which was originally a dairy barn built around 1938. Lake Woodmoor is adjacent to the Community Center. The Woodmoor homes for sale have scenic views, large lots, forest and meadow areas, and are out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the city. Some of the homes have views of Greenland Ranch. This Nature Conservatory encompasses 21,000 acres of land to the east of I-25 and has one of the largest elk herds in the region.

The school district is the Palmer-Lewis School District No. 38. Neighboring Communities To the north of the Woodmoor real estate area is the open space system of Greenland Ranch. The Ranch encompasses 21,000 acres to the east of I-25 and 1,000 acres to the west of I-25. This nature conservatory creates an open space area between Colorado Springs and Castle Rock. The Jackson Creek real estate area is located to the south of Woodmoor. To the west of Woodmoor are the Palmer Lake real estate and Monument real estate areas. Commuting With quick access to I-25, approximately 5 minutes, Woodmoor is a good option for your Colorado Springs Military relocation. It is approximately 15 minutes to the north gate of the USAF Academy and is considered a part of the Air Force Academy real estate area. Recreation Situated in the Woodmoor real estate area is the Woodmoor Pines Country Club and Woodmoor Pines Golf Course. The golf course is an 18-hole championship course with long tree-lined fairways. The club features four indoor tennis courts and a 25 yard indoor swimming pool facility. The Greenland Ranch west of I-25 acreage has just opened to the public. It offers an 8.2 mile trail and is approximately 4 feet wide in most places. The trail is a walk through the meadows. It will eventually connect to Palmer Lake and the Santa Fe Trail System. The trailhead is located off I-25 to the west. Exit on 167 will take you to the trail, then you follow the road south to the huge gate. There is a large parking complex and picnic building. It is setup to handle horses. The trail starts at the parking lot and goes about 3/4 of a mile and makes a loop. Wildlife is abundant in the area. Close by the Woodmoor real estate area is the Tri-Lakes YMCA for your family recreational activities. The YMCA offers fitness classes, sports, and swimming lessons. |
