Currently the trail is divided into two parts. This second extension of the trail runs from Templeton Gap Road north through the Norwood Subdivision to Cottonwood Creek Trail. The Trail is concrete, millings, gravel and natural surfaces. The Homestead Trail is part of the City of Colorado Spring's unique trail system that runs throughout the entire city. The VillaSport Fitness Club is located to the north of the Sundown Subdivision outlining the Wagon Trails Subdivision to the east. More fitness opportunities are available along the Powers Corridor including two golf courses, and a professional baseball stadium. There are also a variety of dining and shopping centers with major department stores along the Corridor. |
