 Greenhaven Greenhaven is tucked away in the northern part of Colorado Springs real estate. This subdivision in the Powers Corridor real estate area is a small community that offers newer homes built around the mid 2000s. It is a stunning neighborhood with larger homes, some finished basements and above-average finished square footage. Vista Ridge High School, a new high school, is located in the subdivision. This subdivision is close to a new hospital and a short commute to Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB.

Schools The school of attendance for high school is Vista Ridge High School, which is located in Greenhaven. Vista Ridge High School opened its doors in 2008-2009. It is currently open to grades 9-10 with plans to expand the school. Future plans include having all grades, 9-12, by the years 2010-2011. The high school's focus is on science, technology, engineering, and math but offers a comprehensive curriculum for all students. Their colors are Columbia blue and black and they are known as the "wolves". The school of attendance for middle school is Skyview Middle School and for elementary school is Ridgeview Elementary School. Neighboring Communities The neighborhood to the south and to the east is Ridgeview subdivision. Also to the east, but not bordering Greenhaven, are new homes in Banning Lewis Ranch. There is an elementary school and a middle school located in Ridgeview. The subdivision to the north, but not bordering Greenhaven, is Cumbre Vista real estate. Greenhaven is less than a mile from a brand new, 156 bed hospital. Accessing Powers Boulevard takes you to the north and south end of town with ease and in a timely fashion. The Wagon Trails real estate subdivision is to the west of Greenhaven. Wagon Trails has an outdoor community swimming pool for homeowners in the Wagon Trails subdivision. VillaSport is located in the Wagon Trails area. VillaSport is a huge athletic club and spa that is open to the public. Commuting Greenhaven is within commuting distance to Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB, making it an option for Colorado Springs military relocation. This Peterson real estate area is approximately 7 miles away or a 13 minute commute. And as a Schriever AFB real estate area, it is approximately 17 miles or a 27 minute commute. The Colorado Springs Airport is approximately 12.5 miles or 19 minutes by car. Recreation VillaSport, an athletic club and spa, is located within approximately 5 minutes to the west, or 1 mile. The Club is a large public club which offers swimming, exercise classes, and massage to name a few amenities. There are two swimming pools, an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor swimming pool is a recreational pool and a lap pool. It has a water slide and lazy river. The indoor pool offers lap swimming and a warm therapy pool. Their exercise program has everything from pilates to personal training. They also offer massage and body treatments. The club is approximately a mile from Greenhaven. Greenhaven is a 5 minute drive to the Powers Corridor. Along the Corridor is endless shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. There are department stores, a variety of restaurants, and a large movie theater. There is also additional shopping on Woodmen Road to the northwest of Greenhaven, which is a 5 minute drive. Also along Powers Boulevard is access to the Sky Sox Stadium. The Stadium offers professional baseball and a beautiful 4th of July fireworks display every year. To the north of the Stadium is a lighted soccer field. The Colorado Springs Airport is accessed from Powers Boulevard going south. Also off of the Powers Corridor is the Springs Ranch Golf Course. The golf course is an 18-hole golf course. It is a public 18-hold regulation golf course that opened in 1997. The Club has a driving range, putting green, and chipping area. It is open all year. There are also 2 additional 9-hole golf courses within a short driving distance. There are plenty of open spaces surrounding Greenhaven to take a walk. There is a proposed neighborhood park and community park that are not yet developed, and a private park in the area. |
