 Oak Hills Situated in the northwestern Colorado Springs real estate area is the Oak Hills Subdivision. The subdivision was built in 1977-1984 in the Rockrimmon real estate area. Neighboring Communities The Discovery real estate subdivision is located to the east, and the original Rockrimmon real estate area is located to the southeast of Oak Hills. Rockrimmon offers a mix of business, townhome and residential neighborhoods. A grocery store is conveniently located to the south of the Oak Hills subdivision in the Rockrimmon area. To the north is the Peregrine real estate subdivision. This very private subdivision offers very exquisite homes built on a hill or in a valley. The Oak Valley real estate subdivision is located to the west. The Oak Valley subdivision is situated at the foothills of the Front Range. Oak Valley has several city parks. Commuting With Rockrimmon Boulevard bordering the Oak Hills Subdivision to the southeast, the Subdivision is an easy commute to the United States Air Force Academy. Rockrimmon Boulevard takes you directly to I-25 which brings you in close proximity to the Air Force Academy Base. Recreation The Foothills Park is located on Allegheny Drive in the Oak Hills Subdivision. The park is next to Foothills Elementary School. This city park has a soccer field and t-ball, sledding area, trails/sidewalks, picnic area, playground, and picnic shelter. The park is 11.3 acres in area. Both of these parks are handicapped accessible. Ute Valley is a regional park that is located on the south of Vindicator Drive next to the Oak Hills Subdivision. It is a huge park, 338.4 acres in area. There is a parking lot, portable toilet, mountain biking and hiking trails, and a wetland area. A 15 minute drive to the east will get you to Academy Boulevard. The Chapel Hills Mall is located on Academy Boulevard along with a large variety of fine dining restaurants. |
