We first met Jamie when my wife found a house on his website that she was interested in. After convincing me to be open to spending money, we called him up and met him at the property. Before we left Korea, my wife and I found out that we were moving to Colorado Springs, CO to be stationed at Peterson Air Force Base. We were very excited and decided that we wanted to buy a house. Being first time home buyers, we were really worried about the process, hidden fees, and just generally not having any idea what we were doing. Being a military family means we move a lot, but no matter how many times we go through this process, finding a place that feels like home gets no easier. From the moment we started the search for our new home in Colorado Springs Jaime made us feel at ease about the transition.
We received informative packets through the mail about the Colorado Springs area and housing market within a few days of our first phone contact. There were also daily updates to our personal website that listed all houses within our budget and specifications. When we came down to Colorado he made sure our two-day search for a home was efficient and pleasant. Throughout the whirlwind two days we knew Jaime's attention and focus were on us finding the perfect home.
Jaime is not in it for the quick sale. We were on the fence about a few homes and finally settled to put a bid in on one we weren't too sure about. Jaime sensed our hesitation and encouraged us to think it over and maybe look at the properties one more time before deciding. It's a good thing Jaime put the brakes on us because we absolutely love our new home and may have had regrets if we went with our initial decision.

When I first found out I was being transferred from Georgia to Colorado Springs, I was excited and anxious to continue my career in a new location. I also felt it was time to finally own my first home. Owning a home had always been important to me, but I never felt I was financially secure enough to actually purchase such a large investment. I began my search by looking for real estate agents in the Colorado Springs area with military experience and lucked out when I found Jamie Mades.
After my first conversation with Jamie, I knew I had found the agent that I would work with through the entire process. Jamie sent me two relocation packages in the mail. The first contained a cradle to the grave type booklet that explained exactly how the home buying process would work. This was very helpful for me since I had never bought a home before. The second package was tailored to the military benefits that I could receive as a member of the Department of Defense. He also personalized a website for me to start reviewing homes; all of this occurred before I even arrived in Colorado Springs.
Once in Colorado Springs, Jamie was very knowledgeable when recommending homes to look at but also very respectful in keeping my preferences in mind. We looked at a large number of homes but I never felt like Jamie was pressuring me to sign a contract. Even though I took a long time to finally find the home I love, Jamie never seemed to be in a hurry to get me into a home and I always felt I was his number 1 priority. Even after signing the contract, Jamie has stayed in contact to ensure I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. I couldn't have asked for a better real estate agent.

We were initially very nervous about making a commitment to buying our new
home, but after our first meeting, Jamie laid out our plan of action and all
of the steps we needed to take. This really put our minds at ease about the
entire process. While visiting all of the homes, Jamie was able to answer
any questions that we had, whether it be the difference in prices and
mortgage payments, short sales and forclosures or what features would be
great when we re-sold the home. We never felt pressured into a home that was
out of our price range or didn't fit all of our needs. When we did find the
perfect home, Jamie was right, we knew it was the one for us! Once we found
the home, Jamie continued to be by our side until we were finished. He even
spent hours with us at the design center picking out everything and offering
his advice on what would be a valuable upgrade. He was amazing throughout
the entire process and I know that we will be contacting him again with any
of our future real estate needs.
